When we started Good Space Design Group five years ago, we did so with the intention of doing design differently. Having worked in the world of interior design for over 15 years, we realized that for many people, it was still an industry that was inaccessible and unaffordable, filled with a lot of mystery and intimidation, and at the same time, many unrealistic expectations. So, we set out to change that by offering interior design services that were more collaborative, transparent and empowering for our clients. We were on a mission.

Well, we’ve learned a lot over our years in this business, and we want this blog to be a place where we can share our insight and perspective and, in the process, shed some light on this industry and this craft. This blog promises to pull back the curtain on the world of interior design, helping people appreciate how it really works by better explaining all the ins and outs of the design process – the skills, time and activities involved with it, as well as the costs. We also plan to provide guidance and insight on various areas both within and connected to interior design, like painting, hiring trades, shopping, etc. Our hope is that, in reading this blog, people will better understand all the work that goes into designing beautiful spaces so that they can be more informed, inspired and empowered if they decide to work with an interior designer or to tackle a project on their own.

We’ve done a lot of amazing work with some incredible clients over the years, and we realize that we have even better work ahead of us. It’s been a great journey so far, and we hope you’ll stay with us and enjoy the ride ahead.
